During Ray's varied career to date he has featured as a soloist on Grammy nominated & US number 1 albums, performed on prime time TV 'The Morgana Show' & 'Very Important People' as well as playing for Dr John, Mica Paris, Robbie Williams & Jean Toussaint to name just a few. Equally at home on TV and festival stages as he is in jazz clubs it's a pleasure to welcome Ray to Peggy's Skylight for a show with the trio as they play two sets of classic jazz, blues, bop, swing and ballads.

Based right here in the Midlands but working internationally, Ray regularly makes the trip over to the jam session at Peggy's and he always brings a wealth of musical experience, and an understanding of how important it is for professional players to come together to create an organic jazz scene in their localities.

Ray will be joined by Andrew Wood's trio which also features Matthew Ratcliffe & Martyn Spencer on piano and double bass respectively. Both are extremely accomplished players and the group has been together in this line-up for almost 6 years, see what unfolds when Ray joins them on trumpet for this one off special show!

Following the performance with Ray, the trio will be hosting the Nottingham Jazz Jam Session so please feel free to stay around and check out some fantastic local musicians taking the stage.
